Communication Management Students Wins Two Awards at UGM Ajisaka Festival 2023

Two teams from Communication Management study program won two awards at the 2023 Ajisaka Festival organized by the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada on Saturday (11/3/2023).

Ajisaka Festival UGM 2023 is an annual competition in Communication Science that can be participated by all students in Indonesia. This year, the Ajisaka UGM Festival carries the theme “Agnia Abhipraya: Light Bearer of Hope.” With this theme, participants are invited to educate the public about the importance of communication as a means of realizing gender equality.

The competition has five branches, namely Nakula or Penelitian Kawula Muda(Young People’s Research), Kresna or Kreasi Insan Sinema (Creation of Cinema People), Arjuna or Ajang Citra Semua Warna (Million Color Image Competition), Sadewa or Sayembara Dewa Pariwara (God Pariwara Competition), and Prahasta or Pertempuran Humas Nusantara (Nusantara Public Relations Battle).

At the UGM Ajisaka Festival award night held at the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building on Saturday (11/3/2023), two teams from the Communication Management study program, namely the Orang Sibuk Team and the Happily Ever After Team, won two proud awards.

The Orang Sibuk Team consisting of Agis Maulana, Devita Riana Maghfiroh, and Rotua Rahmad Rajana Soleh won 1st place in the Arjuna competition in the Homeless Media category. Meanwhile, the Happily Ever After Team consisting of Denasya Hapsari Adhi and Mathilda Ratih Andamsuri won 3rd place in the Sadewa competition in the Social Media Activation category.

Hopefully, with this achievement, other Communication Management students will be more motivated to take part in various competitions and can make the Communication Management study program proud in the future.
